烘 [ home ], the house where one’s family lives.
The character “烘” does not share the same meaning as “home” in Chinese (“家” is the correct Chinese character). But the pronunciation of “烘” in Chinese is similar to “home” in English. If reading this Chinese character separately, the left part “火” means “fire”, and the right part “共” means “sharing or together.” When the two characters combine, the meaning can be interpreted as to share warmth together. I believe that is what a home should be.
Home is not only a place where one’s family lives but also where a family shares warmth, laughter, and tears together. This is the mission of my interior design studio – a home where family shares love together.
